Bella! Our new dog!

Well, last Saturday the girls and I (along with Grandma) went to Homeward Bound to adopt a dog. Camryn was so excited to go to the "Dog Farm"-thats what she called it.We saw three dogs before we fell in love with Bella. Bella was the only mixed breed that we looked at but she fit our family perfectly. She is 3 years old, full of energy, and amazing with the kids-especially the baby. She is a Flat Coat Retriever mix. She is really cute. We just love having her here. Camryn loves to go outside and play with her-they explore the yard together. Camryn never used to go outside unless I came with her so it is really nice to see her out playing with Bella. Hayden is just in love with Bella. She crawls after her wherever she goes and pats her black hair and LAUGHS and LAUGHS.

Unfortunately, after owning Bella for only four days she darted out the front door after a cat and struck a speeding vehicle. You would never be able to guess if you saw her today that she dented someones car door shut 5 days ago. We took her to the vet who said she would probably be OK and so far she is. She has lost her appetite but Im sure it will come back soon. We still go for walks and she pulls me along the entire way.

Im very happy that we have her.

Yeah!!! Im getting a Golden Retriever

I am just too excited tonight. I just found out that on Saturday I get to go adopt a Golden Retriever. The whole family has wanted a dog for so long-this is going to be great. I promise that I will put up pictures of the dog as soon as I can.

School

Ive just started school about two weeks ago. Its so weird being back in the world of grown-ups again. I'm so used to diapers and naps that it is very different for me. I sit next to a guy who just loves four letter words and I cant stand him. I'm not sure if Ill ever be bold enough to ask him to tone it down--maybe Ill just get there early and sit somewhere else next time.
This last Tuesday I was running late. Camryn was having a really bad day and when I told her I had to leave she burst out in tears, grabbed my leg and cried "don't go mommy! don't go!" Now, its not like I've never had to go anywhere before, this just felt different. I never planned on being back in school until they were in school. My eyes just filled with tears. I took a deep breath so that she wouldnt see my tears and, even though I was running late, I got out some crafts for Camryn to do and snuck away when she was happy again. Mom said she was just fine after I left. Some days are harder than others with this new life-though most days are wonderfully filled with happiness.

My little Hayden

Hayden is getting so big. She is all smiles and high pitch squealing. She and Camryn are getting to be good friends now too. She follows Camryn around everywhere and laughs at everything she does. I'm so glad that they have each other. Tonight I began trying to teach them how to sleep in the same room. We'll see how smooth that transition will be.

Hayden stood up all by herself about 2 weeks ago but since then she has not felt like doing it again. Camryn was walking at 10 months and Hayden is now 9 1/2 months. I'm pretty sure she'll need more time.

Camryn's Pirate Party

I know Im late posting these pictures but I just had to get them up. Camryn's Pirate Party was sooo much fun. I loved making her cake and was up till 1 am decorating it. Everyone was dressed up as a pirate and we even had a treasure hunt. I made 4 maps for the kids to find and follow and actually buried some treasure boxes with some cute toys and things in the garden. They had to dig it out. Frank brought over his dirt bike and all the kids got to go for a ride-except Hayden she's still to little. It was so much fun. To this day camryn still talks about her pirate party. I dont know what Im going to do next year to top it.
